Three games for you all to watch tonight while I watch the Sox/Tigers game I Tivo'd while at work this afternoon.
- Baltimore Orioles (56-70 4th AL East Mr. Anna Benson 10-9 4.63) vs. Minnesota Twins (73-52 3rd AL Central Boof Bonser 2-4 5.51)-I'm hoping the trend that's seen the Boofmeister go winless on the road this season continues. Really need the Twins to lose so the Sox can get some breathing room. Anna Benson's husband did pretty well in his last start against Toronto, and Baltimore has been playing well lately. They failed me last night, but I'm gonna try 'em again tonight, taking Baltimore. (7:05PM Est.)
- New York Mets (77-48 1st NL East Dave Williams 2-3 6.90) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (66-59 1st NL Central Jason Marquis 13-11 5.70)-The Mets are looking for a sweep over the free falling Cardinals. With a loss tonight and a Reds win in San Francisco the Reds and Redbirds will be tied for the NL Central lead. Jason Marquis won his last start agains the Cubs but was aided by 11 runs scored for him. Pujols has hit Williams pretty well in his career, but the way the Mets offense is going right now, it won't be enough. Takin' the Amazins. (ESPN2 7:10PM Est)
- Kansas City Royals (46-82 5th AL Central Mark Redman 7-8 5.79) vs. Cleveland Indians (57-68 4th AL Central C.C. Sabathia 8-8 3.29)-Only the Kansas City Royals could score 10 runs in the first inning and then lose a game. They squandered a 10-1 lead last night, losing to the Indians 15-13 in extra innings. Something tells me the Royals won't get anywhere near 13 runs tonight against Sabathia. Take the Indians. (8:10PM Est.)
Last Night: 2-1 (W-Mets Yankees L-Orioles)
Season: 57-48 (Season best 9 games over .500!)
