He Should Have Hidden it in A Water Bottle
Notre Dame point guard Kyle McAlarney was arrested last month after police found marijuana in his car during a routine traffic stop just off campus. The arrest came only a few hours after McAlarney set a career-high 21 points against the heralded Rider University.
Well, McAlarney hasn't been allowed to play on the team since, and he won't be returning to the team this season, or school for that matter.
McAlarney has been suspended for the spring semester by the University of Notre Dame.
Notre Dame point guard Kyle McAlarney was suspended from school for his arrest last month on a marijuana possession charge, his mother said Tuesday.Due to privacy laws, no one at Notre Dame would comment on the case, but the university's Associate Vice President for News and Information stated a dismissed student can reapply for admission to the school depending on the penalty he received:
Janice McAlarney said her son was told Monday that he could not continue to attend classes this semester. She said she's not sure what the suspension means for his future.
"All I know is my son was suspended yesterday from school and he's headed home," she said from her home in Staten Island, N.Y. "I don't know anything else beyond that. All I know is I'm ashamed of how they did this... I'm ashamed of the university. My son is a great kid. He did not deserve this. The punishment did not fit the crime."
"There's no guarantee it will be granted, but they can reapply for admission."McAlarney started the first 12 games of the season for the Irish, averaging 10.3 points a game. The Irish were 11-1 with McAlarney in the lineup, and are 5-2 without him.

if they were 2-5, bet he'd still be in school.
I disagree.
This is Notre Dame, and they've always had a pretty clear cut way of treating these things.
If they were 2-5 he'd have been gone a lot sooner cuz the team had nothing to play for.
Besides...it's basketball...not football.
good point.
about the football, that is.
