The Basketball Diaries - Melo meet Allen, Allen...Melo

Denver Nuggets 115 Memphis Grizzlies 98

Well the wait is finally over. Carmelo Anthony finally returned from his 15-game suspension and teamed up with Allen Iverson for the first time. So far, so good. Before the opening tip, Melo addressed the home fans and thanked them for their support, then he and his new teammate took turns beating up on the Grizzlies. Melo finished with 28 points, and The Answer had 23 before finishing the game with a couple of alley-oops between each other. If only they could play the Grizzlies every night.

Miami Heat 101 New York Knicks 83

We'd been hearing rumors that Shaq might return for the Heat last night, but we were a little off. Not only was Shaq on the bench, but he was joined by Dwyane Wade. Wade decided before the game it was probably best that he rest the ankle he sprained on Sunday against Dallas. All the Heat did without their two stars was jump out to a 40-12 first quarter lead, at one point scoring 27 consecutive points. Man, the Knicks suck.

Orlando Magic 90 Cleveland Cavaliers 79

Magic coach Brian Hill has anger issues. He would seek counseling, but apparently they're working too well for him. After breaking his clipboard in half during a timeout, his team seemed to get the message. The Magic went out and got a tough road win in Cleveland to snap a 5-game losing streak. "He's a fiery guy and sometimes you have to do that as a coach," Grant Hill said. "Coaching is like parenting, sometimes there's six inches between a pat on the back and a pat on the butt. This was one of those times when he had to do a little patting on the butt." Grant Hill has issues of his own, apparently.
