Utah Jazz 101 Dallas Mavericks 79
Jerry Sloan got his 1,000th career win as coach of the Utah Jazz last night. Carlos Boozer had 31 points and 11 rebounds as the Jazz made a statement with this win. In case anybody was questioning just how good this Jazz team was, a 22-point victory over Dallas should get the point across. "They really got the best of us at both ends of the floor," Dirk Nowitzki said. "In the third and the fourth, we couldn't really get it down to 10, eight, to make it a ballgame. You've got to give them the credit."

Allen Iverson's locker has been cleaned out. It's empty. A lot like the Sixers win column over their last eight games. After Chris Webber hit a three-pointer for Philly to tie the score late, Zach Randolph gave the Blazers the lead with 2.4 seconds left that would prove to be the winner. Randolph finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Phoenix Suns 103 Orlando Magic 89
We said it yesterday, and we'll say it again today. The Suns are on fire. Get it? Fire? Suns? That's the kind of intelligent humor that just can't be taught. You're either born with it or you're not. Speaking of God-given talent, Amare Stoudemire had 30 points to lead the Suns past the fading Magic.
