White Sox Announce Affinity for Week Old Hot Dogs and Slurpees

Since the White Sox don't have to worry about playing baseball right now, they've decided to solve the problem of when they would start their home games next season.

The new start time for night games will be 7:11 PM.

This is because the White Sox signed a 3-year $500,000 deal with the convenience store chain 7-Eleven to do so. The reason Chicago was selected was due to the large number of the stores in the area, with more than 180.

I understand why the White Sox did this - I'll take $500,000 to make a completely insignificant change anytime - but why would 7-Eleven do it?
''Every time the media announces the game's start time it will be a gentle reminder of our sponsorship."

Now maybe we can sign Apu to lead-off and play left field for us.
