The Pittsburgh Pirates Hate Black People

Did the Cubs just get swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates? The only team in the National League with a worse record than theirs?

I haven't spent much time around here discussing the Cubs and for good reason.

They suck. Hard.

On their latest 6 game road trip to St. Louis and Pittsburgh the Cubs went 0-6. Four of the losses were the walk off variety.

But there's still some good news for Cubs fans to hold onto this 2006 season:

• There's only a month left
• Dusty Baker only has a month left
• Only 10 days until the Bears kickoff at Lambeau Field

Seriously, from this point on all Cubs fans should start rooting against the Florida Marlins.

If the Marlins somehow manage to make the playoffs it will be very hard for Jeffrey Loria to fire Joe Girardi. But if the Marlins don't make it, Loria will get what he wants and fire him.

Then, hopefully, Jim Hendry will be smart enough to swoop in and snatch Girardi up.

Look at what he's done in Florida. Girardi has taken a team and its pitching staff more inexperienced than the Cubs and has them contending for the playoffs.

Who knows what he could do for the North Siders?
