Albert Belle has been sentenced to serve 90 days in jail and 5 years supervised probation for stalking his ex-girlfriend. Belle has already served 29 days of his sentence. If I'm any good at math that means he has 61 days to go before he can start putting more GPS transponders on ex-girlfriends' cars and running down trick-or-treaters in his SUV.
Belle pled guilty to stalking his ex back in July. He was originally arrested and charged in February, then rearrested on May 17th after contacting the woman again.
The biggest loser in all of this may be former Indians' teammate Jason Grimsley. Yes, the same Jason Grimsley who was busted by the DEA for his dealings in steroids.
Looking to get past the negative publicity of his recent steroid troubles and relive the glorious days of "Batgate," Grimsley had been watching season one of FOX's Prison Break for the last few weeks. He was devising a plan to bust Albert out of prison once he got there.
Foul Balls contacted Grimsley at his home to ask him what he's gonna do now. He said he was "devastated" by the news. When asked what he was going to do with himself now Grimsley replied,
"I uh, I....I....I just don't know. You prepare for something for so long, and then this happens. I mean what's the point of busting him out if he's only gonna be in there for a coupla months right? Hey, you wouldn't happen to know anybody that would wanna buy some HGH would you?"
