This comes as no surprise, as it was pretty much inevitable that Walker would be moved. In return the Cubs get 19-year-old right hander Jose Ceda, a non-drafted free agent the Padres signed in 2004.
Ceda has a 99 MPH fastball. That's all I know about him.
The Padres are probably going to use Walker at third base, seeing how Josh Barfield has performed very well at second. Walker does have experience at third, as he played there for the Twins in the mid 1990's.
Walker on the year is hitting .277 with 6 HR and 40 RBI.
