Silly Knee! You're Supposed To Bend The Other Way!

Jesus fucking Christ, that is one of the most horrific looking things I've ever seen. I found this yesterday over at Wizard of Odds, and being the bastard that I am, there's just no way I could possibly let you all escape without seeing it for yourselves.

The proud owner of what was once his left leg is Tennessee fullback David Holbert who missed all of last season after tearing his ACL. I'm going to go ahead and guess he'll be missing this season as well, and frankly, if he's ever able to walk again he should consider that a victory.

Oh, and just to make it up to you for the gruesome photo, here are some more pics from Wizard of Odds of USC Song Girls frolicking in bathing suits!

Sing, Sing a Song

I wouldn't be doing my weekend duty if I didn't find some piece of sport-related cheesecake to brighten your day.

Here at Foul Balls, we have a long and proud history promoting the talented USC Song girls.

In keeping with that tradition, I share with you a thoughtful site that dedicates itself to the greatness that embodies these young athletic supporters.

Many thanks to The Wizard of Odds

Brian Anderson, You're Mine

When I get a celebrity crush, I go the mundane route. I stalk them.

But Aubyn Beth, a diehard Brian Anderson fan, has taken the restraining order less travelled.

She wrote the hunky White Sox centerfielder a love song and posted it on her MySpace page. It's the fourth one down and called, crazily enough, "Brian Anderson."

Spoke to the young songwriter and much as I'd like to report she's a wacko, the opposite is true. Aubyn is totally adorable. And for any of you unsure, she assures me the song is meant to be funny.

So, nice job, Aubyn. (Though I'm still trying to figure out whether the line, "You may not be a Scotty Pods," is criticism or compliment.)

As for you Brian Anderson, whaddya say? She's cute, talented and has a sense of humor. What are you waiting for?

She Wrote the Song that Made the Whole World Sing

There seriously must be an epidemic going on in Southern California.

It all started with Paris Hilton, then the virus spread to Lindsay Lohan, and just recently, Britney Spears.

When women go to Los Angeles, they leave their underwear at home.

It's a magnificent thing.

The latest to follow the trend appeared during yesterday's Rose Bowl.

The ABC cameras did a shot of the USC Song Girls when suddenly, this happened.

Afterward you could hear Kirk Herbstreit make a "hmmm." noise, as if he was already trying to figure out how to get a hold of her after the game.

This is why God invented TiVo. If it wasn't for TiVo, we would not have been able to rewind the game after seeing what we thought we saw. Then we wouldn't have been able to view the shot frame by delicious frame and take a picture of it with our digital camera.

We do this stuff for you, so you're welcome.

Oh, and USC beat Michigan 32-18 thanks to Dwayne Jarrett's 11 receptions 205 yards, and two touchdowns.
