Moneyball Movie Is Back On


It's starting to look as though the story behind the movie version of Michael Lewis' book Moneyball could end up being more interesting than the movie itself. The movie is based on Lewis' book about Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane and his rebuilding of the Athletics organization using statistical data.

The movie was originally supposed to be directed by Steven Soderbergh and star Brad Pitt as Billy Beane, but it was pulled by Sony Pictures during the summer because the studio feared it wouldn't play as well internationally as it would with baseball nerds across the United States. Well, it seems they've gotten over those fears because the movie has a new director and is back on track to getting finished...
