Blogpoll Ballot: Week 9

While you can see the final Blogpoll over at CBS Sports along with a breakdown of the poll, you can just stay here to see my ballot.  I mean, why would you even want to see anybody else's?  Mine's right.

Last week's ballot

Dropped Out: Central Michigan (#19), South Carolina (#20), West Virginia (#22), Mississippi (#23).

Reasoning and more after the jump.

First we'll start with those teams outside looking in.
  1. Central Michigan
  2. Texas Tech
  3. Arizona
  4. Rutgers
  5. South Carolina
Now there's some moving around in my top three again this week, and in all honesty, I don't have any real explanation for it.  None of those three teams has really done anything to separate themselves from the other two, so you can basically just draw straws and place them in any of the top three spots based on that.

They have separated themselves from everybody else, though, as the gap between TCU at #4 and Bama at #3 is far greater than the gap between Bama and Florida.

I knocked Iowa down a few spots because they deserved to be.  Yes, the comeback was nice against Indiana on Saturday and it made the game a lot more interesting than it should have been, but I couldn't keep them at #5 after seeing Ricky Stanzi throw four interceptions in a single quarter.

USC took a big drop, as you'd expect, after getting beat up by Oregon on Saturday night.  I can't remember who tweeted it, but I do remember reading someone who said that USC is the new Notre Dame.  In that they're constantly overrated based on who they are, and that they're never as good as everyone seems to think they are.

I'm not sure I completely agree with that assessment, but I do very much enjoy that it's being said now.

Speaking of Notre Dame, now that they finally blew somebody out -- even if it was Washington State -- I decided to give them some credit and bumped them up to 19 after placing them 25 last week.

Anything else you want to know about, shoot me a question in the comments.
