Ozzie on White Sox: 'We're the Chicago Bitch'

It's becoming a pretty easy formula to figure out in Chicago. When the White Sox are doing well, Ozzie Guillen spends his pre an post game media sessions cracking jokes and making the reporters around him laugh. When the team is losing, Ozzie goes on crazy diatribes and rants, cussing up a storm in front of the same reporters. Why does he do it? Well, mostly because he's insane, but also because he's partly hoping that by acting like a jackass, the media in the city will continue to focus on him instead of his players.

So far during his tenure in Chicago, it's worked. So before the White Sox lost to the Blue Jays...

  1. So, this morning, whilst flipping back and forth between the two talk radio shows I listen to on the commute, both morning shows were talking about Ozzie's latest rant.

    The local guys were like "Yeah, Ozzie's hilarious. He makes a great point. Plus, he's funny while he does it."

    Mike and Mike in the morning were whining about how it's so old and tired and Ozzie uses cuss words. Teacher teacher! Make him stop.

    You know what? I'm a Cubs fan, and I say, Ozzie, keep it up. You've got a point, and you make me laugh while doing it. Plus, you make Jayson Stark and Mike Greenberg throw fits. Kudos, Ozzie. Kudos.
