Nine Reasons Cubs Fans Shouldn't Give Up
As it becomes apparent that neither Fornelli nor the Arizona Diamondbacks plan on showing any mercy, I say to the Cubs and to my fellow Cub fans:
Get up! Dust yourselves off! It could be worse. We could be the Phillies.
Sure we're down 2-0, staring elimination dead in the eye!
But I offer nine reasons for hope.

- The Cubs have won 3 or more consecutive games 11 times this season.
- The Diamondback have lost 3 or more consecutive games 10 times this season.
- The Cubs are 44-37 at Wrigley Field, so winning 2 of 2 is very possible.
- The Diamondbacks are 40-41 on the road, so losing 2 of 2 is very possible.
- The Cubs are 41-40 on the road, so taking 1 of 3 in Arizona is highly likely.
- The Diamondbacks are 50-31 at Chase Field, so losing 1 of 3 is the norm.
- Soriano, Lee and Ramirez aren’t this bad.
- Augie Ojeda isn’t this good.
- Most important, and as everyone knows, Jesus is a Cubs fan.
All right, then. Here’s hoping…
