Shake and Jake

I'm sure most of you have seen the footage of Aussie skateboarder Jake Brown taking a 50-foot free fall and walking away from it.

If you haven't, here it is. (Right before, take in Brown's phenomenal 720 degree spin over the 70-foot gap in the ramp, the first ever done in competition.)



That he got up after is astonishing. That the medical personnel let him get up is beyond belief.

Brown, 32, remains hospitalized after suffering bruises of the liver and lung, stress fractures in his vertebrae and a small fracture on the top of one hand.

Thankfully, there's no paralysis and it appears Brown's going to be okay. It's expected he'll be released from the hospital tomorrow.

How do you explain something like this? No confirmation yet but rumor has it Zippy was in the Staples Center Thursday night.
