Mike Vick Is So Screwed

Mike Vick is quickly running out of options when it comes to the dog-fighting charges against him. One of his friends has already reached a plea agreement and is willing to serve Vick to the court on a platter, and now his other two co-defendants are about to do the same thing.

So now if Vick were to go to trial, he would stand alone as prosecutors used evidence from Vick's former co-defendants against him.

So what's a quarterback to do? Why what your friends did, of course!

With two more co-defendants distancing themselves from Michael Vick, the embattled Falcons quarterback was considering on Monday whether to accept a plea agreement for his alleged role in a dogfighting operation.

Sources told ESPN's Kelly Naqi that Vick attorneys Larry Woodward and Billy Martin met with federal prosecutor Michael Gill and the investigators on Monday afternoon. The attorneys planned to speak with the quarterback in the evening to see what direction he wants to go in.

Vick has until Friday to decide what he wants to do, or else the case will go to trial. I'm not an expert on the way our judicial system works, because I don't watch television shows like Law and Order because they don't have washed up celebrities in them trying to get laid, and I'm a model citizen who's never been caught.

That said, I think the plea deal is really Vick's only option here. If it goes to trial, he will be found guilty, and he will get jail time. By coming to a deal, Vick will probably get away with a much lesser punishment and return to the NFL next season.

Of course, the NFL still hasn't suspended Vick yet, but I think it's safe to say he won't be playing this season.

Ballhype: hype it up!

Martha Stewart sent Vick a message: "Take the plea agreement, you poor bastard, just take it."
