Enjoy Darren McFadden While You Can

Actually, that's a terrible headline because it implies he's never going to play football again. That's not true, but I'm just too lazy to fix the headline. It's Saturday, what the hell do you want from me?

Anyway, McFadden won't be playing college football after this season. His mother was stupid kind enough to tell the world about it yesterday.

The mother of junior Arkansas running back Darren McFadden told ESPN.com on Friday night that her son will play his last season of college football this fall before turning pro.

"He told me [Friday], 'Mom, I'll be through in December,'" Mini Muhammed said. "I said, 'What you mean?' He said, 'I'll be through.' That's what he told me."

Asked if that meant her son would be entering the draft and joining the NFL, Muhammed said, "Yeah. He'll be making big money."
Like things aren't crazy enough at Arkansas right now, what with Houston Nutt's problems and having to play in the SEC, Darren's mom just can't keep her mouth shut.

Of course, I don't think anybody with a clue about football really expected that McFadden would return next season. He's already a 99 rating on NCAA 08, what more does he have to prove?

Ballhype: hype it up!
