It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Devin Hester!

You know it's been a good day when your teammates, coaches and beat reporters are shaking their heads in awe.

Former wunderkind defensive cornerback Devin Hester has been moved to wide receiver and based on the first day of camp, it's looking like it could be a great decision. Neil Hayes of the Chicago Sun-Times writes,

Hester continued a trend that began during offseason workouts by standing out like a flashing neon light during the Bears' first training camp practice at Olivet Nazarene University on Friday.

If his first official practice as a wide receiver is any indication -- we'll learn more when he practices in pads for the first time today -- Hester may exceed expectations while making the difficult transition from defense to offense.

''He's picking it up well,'' quarterback Rex Grossman said. ''He has so much potential. He knows the offense on paper, and now he just needs to get more reps to get comfortable with it. He's an added dimension to our offense that's bound to create a bunch of big plays during the season.''
Veteran cornerback Nathan Vasher, "left in the dust" by one of Hester's moves, predicts this is the start of something big.

"He's going to be great. He's going to be someone to keep your eyes on."

Here's hoping all the NFL defenders keep their eyes on him while he repeatedly runs past them into the endzone.
