At the Fanhouse

Never fear, Fornelli's near.

  • The Indians Will Reopen Negotiations with Pronk - "It looks like the Indians have come to the conclusion that Travis Hafner's contract situation could be the biggest reason he's struggling so badly as of late. Seeing as how the Tribe has lost it's last three games and it's lead in the AL Central has vanished, the All-Star break is as good a time as any to start working on a new deal..."
  • Rich Harden to Start Today - "...If by some miracle Harden can finally stay healthy for once, the American League's best starting rotation will be even better. It would also be a huge boost for an Athletics team that trails both the Angels and Mariners in the AL West..."
  • On Deck: Cover Your Wallets, Clemens is Pitching Today - "...Roger Clemens looks to get win #351 of his career this afternoon, and get the Yankees back to .500 again. Twenty-nine of those 351 wins have come against the Angels, more than any other team Roger's faced. He's 29-9 with a 2.65 ERA against the Halos. Of course, if he doesn't win today, I'm sure he won't turn down the $3 million or so he's making for this start..."
  • The Twins Could Face Assault Charges - "... In a day night doubleheader at US Cellular Field, the Twins pitching staff gave up 14 runs. Of course, you can get away with that when you're scoring 32 runs yourself. You did not read that wrong. In two games today, the Twins scored 32 runs in a sweep of the White Sox. They took Game 1 20-14, and then they took Game 2 by a score of 12-0. I've seen teams get embarrassed by another squad before, but I don't think I ever saw something as bad as what the Twins did to their division rivals on Friday..."
