Today at The Fanhouse
Where we break down all your Angels trade rumor needs.
- Jake Westbrook Is Not Enjoying The Minors-Jake Westbrook made his third rehab start for the Lake County Captains, as he tries to work his way back from an abdominal injury. He was good for the first three innings, but then he blew up in the fourth. After it was said and done, Westbrook lasted five innings, allowing four runs and throwing two wild pitches.
- Will Mike Sweeney Be Traded?-This isn't exactly anything new for the Royals, they've been losing for a long time now. The one constant through all these losing seasons has been Mike Sweeney, and now there are questions about whether or not it's time for Sweeney to go. So will the Royals trade Sweeney? Word is that the Angels might be interested in the designated hitter/wannabe catcher.
- Who Aren't The Angels Going To Trade For?-It seems like just about every trade rumor I read about these days involves the Angels. Today alone at The Fanhouse we've already informed you about their possible interest in Mike Sweeney, and the fact they've already told the Reds no thanks about Adam Dunn. Well, it's time to throw another player out there. There's also a rumor within this notebook that the Angels would be interested in trading for Baltimore's Miguel Tejada.
- On Deck: The Battle of Los Angeles-The Angels have dominated their cross town rivals as of late. They've won the last five meetings, including a three-game sweep earlier this season in which they outscored the Dodgers 19-4. What they haven't done is win any of their last five games at Dodger Stadium. Tonight will also settle one of mankind's greatest questions. Is Anaheim the only place where Ervin Santana is a good pitcher, or is it the greater Los Angeles area? Will find out tonight as Santana faces off against Brad Penny. Well, if Ervin isn't traded to Kansas City, Cincinnati, or Baltimore before the first pitch.
