Today at The Fanhouse

Ichiro cracks me up.

  • Mike Maroth Could Be Traded Soon-Don't be fooled by that winning record the Tigers have. Their bullpen has tried to blow a lot of those wins. They won 8-7 on Saturday, but not until the pen allowed the Mets to creep back up from an 8-3 deficit. It's the type of thing that's been happening a lot in Detroit recently, and with the way Cleveland is playing, it's going to have to stop if Detroit wants to win the Central Division.
  • Mark Buehrle Hits The Century Mark-Of course, the other story surrounding Mark Buehrle right now is his tenure in Chicago. There are many who feel that if the Sox keep heading in the direction they're going in right now, he'll be gone at the trading deadline. If he isn't traded, there's also the possibility that he'll sign somewhere else as a free agent at season's end. Personally, I feel that the Sox shouldn't trade him and do everything in their power to keep him at the end of the year. With a team in which nobody seems to be getting the job done this season, it's probably counterproductive to get rid of the one guy who is.
  • Ichiro Is Not A Big Fan Of Cleveland-Now, it's no surprise that Mariners players wouldn't be excited about flying to Cleveland to just play one game, but Ichiro Suzuki wasn't shy about his feelings at all. He's a free agent after the season, and I think it's safe to say Cleveland will not be one of his destinations. "To tell the truth, I'm not excited to go to Cleveland, but we have to," Ichiro said through an interpreter. "If I ever saw myself saying I'm excited going to Cleveland, I'd punch myself in the face, because I'm lying."

Ballhype: hype it up!
