Today at The Fanhouse
Where things have gotten a lot prettier.
- On Deck: There Goes That Crazy Guy Again-I'm beginning to feel that Scott Olsen's mother didn't hug him much as a child. He's just an angry, angry man. Whether he's flipping off fans, yelling at Chase Utley, or just getting into fights with his own teammates. That's right, Carlos Zambrano, you can't hang with Scott Olsen. He's fought two of his teammates. Who's Scott Olsen going to get into a fight with this afternoon? I'm going to say Bobby Cox. I also get the feeling Cox will just walk up to him, and karate kick him in the face with his spikes on. Afterwards none of Olsen's teammates will come to his defense, rather they'll start one of those movie slow claps as Cox walks off the field. It'll be the feel good hit of the summer!
- Joe Crede Could Have A Date With The DL-White Sox third baseman Joe Crede and back problems go together like peanut butter and jelly. He's always had issues with his back, but he's never had any kind of surgery to fix the herniated discs in his back. Instead he's chosen to rehab them each offseason, and that decision is catching up to him again.
- Is Mark Teixeira Off The Block?-You may recall a few weeks ago when I began speculating that the Rangers would probably be interested in trading first baseman Mark Teixeira. A few days later, Rangers GM Jon Daniels confirmed that he would listen to offers from other teams about Teixeira. Now it appears he's changed his mind.
- Alex Gordon Isn't Going Anywhere-The slump has dropped his average to .172 on the season, but when you consider it's never been higher than .195, it's not saying much. So the debate has begun. Should the Royals send Alex Gordon back down to Omaha to get his act together? Buddy Bell doesn't think so.
