Morning Wood - Offensive Explosions

Chicago Cubs 2 Houston Astros 1
It appears Carlos Zambrano has remembered how to pitch like Carlos Zambrano. Considering Cubs starters had lasted 2.1 innings in their previous two games, Zambrano had to have a strong game, and did. Eight innings, three hits, and an unearned run. Also, since he was facing the Astros he had to go deep. He now has 12 homers in his career, one behind Ferguson Jenkins for the most in Cubs history by a pitcher. "This is a new season for me. When you have great pitches and trust in yourself, you just let the bad things go and start new things," Zambrano said. "That's what I'm doing right now."
Philadelphia Phillies 3 Chicago White Sox 0
Just in case you thought Sunday's win was a sign of change, it wasn't. Even when they're facing a pitcher who has an ERA over 7.00 in his home ballpark, the White Sox can only manage five hits and no runs. The Phillies got all their runs from three solo shots, including one by Ryan Howard that was crushed. "We're wasting a lot of good pitching," White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. "It seems like a movie. You want to change the tape, but it's the only one you have. I don't have answers."

No answers... I remember a manager last year stating some similar things. He can only work with what he has...
Well as soon as Ozzie starts blaming Hawk and DJ we'll know what's really happened.
Dusty stole Ozzie's soul and has infected the White Sox!
He kind of already had it in with Mr. North...
So maybe he decided to start really low and is working his way up.
