Today at The Fanhouse
Umm.....uhhhhh......dammit. Make up your own joke here.
- On Deck: Nobody Wins At Jacob's Field-I always thought that homefield advantage was more prevalent in football or basketball, but don't tell that to the Cleveland Indians. After 16 home games so far this season, the Tribe sports a 13-3 record, and look to complete a sweep of the Minnesota Twins this afternoon. They've scored 22 runs in the first two games, but it's probably not going to be as easy today. Johan Santana starts for the Twins and looks to salvage at least one game in Ohio. Well, unless Michael Cuddyer cuts him in half, anyway.
- Andrew Miller To Make His First Start-Jeremy Bonderman has lost the Battle of the Blister. The blister itself is gone, but the cut that remains on his finger is too painful to throw with, so as a result the Tigers placed Bonderman on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday. Well, as my mother always said, "One man's blister is another man's first Major League start!" Actually, I think she said "Clean your damn room!" but I wasn't really paying attention.
- Chairman Mauer To Miss More Time-Since Joey Sideburns' quad is proving to be of the slow healing variety, he'll have to stick to hitting off of a tee like he did on Wednesday. In three simulated games against the tee, Mauer went 9-for-12 with 3 home runs and 9 RBI.
