Today at The Fanhouse

I'm not the only one who's entered panic mode about the White Sox offense, am I?

  • Angel Berroa Is Back-The Royals had to place Ross Gload on the disabled list with a sore quadriceps muscle, and in his place they have recalled the one, the only, Angel Berroa. I know, you can hardly contain your excitement. Kansas City Royals baseball just hasn't seemed the same without getting to watch Berroa flail wildly at pitches, and throw balls away.
  • Will The White Sox Ever Start Hitting?-I think I speak for a lot of White Sox fans when I say that I'm really starting to worry about this team. If they were all a bunch of 27-year olds, I would expect a turnaround, but in reality the majority of the lineup is on the wrong side of 30. Here's hoping I'm not 30 years old by the time they start hitting again.
  • Kevin Millwood Could Be Headed Back To The DL-Well, Ron, the leg didn't hold up. In fact, it lasted only about four pitches. That's when Millwood slipped as he delivered a pitch to Dave Willits and reaggravated the injury. Millwood finished the first inning, but not before giving up a grand slam to Casey Kotchman. He then started the second inning, but couldn't finish it.
  • Why They Really Pushed Back The World Series-They also say that it will provide playoff teams with more days off to rest between rounds. Well, much like baseball handles just about everything, they don't really give us the whole truth regarding the reasons behind the move. Those days off that teams will get between rounds this season? I wouldn't expect them to be there next October. Don't be surprised if it's announced after this year's World Series that the Divisional Round is going to increase from a 5-game to a 7-game format.
  • Buddy Bell Knows Nothing About Winning-Yes, that's right. Buddy Bell played in 2,405 Major League games without ever tasting the postseason, and now he's managed in 1,120 games with the same results. You'd think that with so much experience Bell would have found himself in the postseason by accident at some point. It's enough to make you wonder if the Royals will ever be capable of winning with Bell at the helm. If a guy has never won anything, how can he expected to teach others how to do it?
