The Basketball Diaries-Down Goes Dallas!

Golden State Warriors 117 Dallas Mavericks 100

The Warriors are my new favorite team. Finally, somebody beat Dallas. I'm not sure how they did it. Does Don Nelson know the secrets of his former team? Was it just one of those nights where everything went the Warriors way? Nope. It was those ugly ass uniforms the Warriors were wearing. How can the Mavs be expected to score while being blinded by those things? I'm sure the 23 Dallas turnovers didn't help much either. Dallas has 20 games left, and they have to lose three of them if the Bulls 72 win season is to remain safe.

Charlotte Bobcats 119 Orlando Magic 108

The Bobcats looked like the Mavericks last night. They had 39 assists on 42 field goals, and they made the Magic look like the team that was out of the playoff race. Derek Anderson had 24 points and 10 assists while leading Charlotte. Dwight Howard did score 24 points and grab 10 boards, but 16 of his points came in the 4th quarter when the outcome had already been decided.

Phoenix Suns 103 Houston Rockets 82

I think it's safe to say that Leandro Barbosa is going to win the Sixth Man of the Year award. Barbosa scored 32 points for the second time in three games as Phoenix had their way with Houston. "I've never seen anybody as fast as this kid," the Rockets' Tracy McGrady said. "He's unbelievable. He's really Speedy Gonzalez out there. He's playing out of his mind right now." Shawn Marion didn't have a half-bad night either with 14 points, 15 boards, 3 blocks and 2 steals.
